Nollywood producer, Charles Novia, will soon release his memoir, titled 'Nollywood Till November: Memoirs of a Nollywood Insider'. The book, based on his experiences, will be released in October.
Nollywood Till November narrates Charles's experiences while shooting movies, including 'When Love Dies', 'Real Love', and 'Missing Angel' with actors such as Stella Damasus, Ramsey Nouah, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Genevieve Nnaji, and Desmond Elliot.
In a chapter, Charles writes about the formation of the moribund Filmmakers Co-operative of Nigeria, and the attempt to break the stranglehold of the major film marketers.
Another chapter narrates the formation of Project Nollywood Limited.
Nollywood Till November provides readers with an insight into the early days of Nollywood, and the challenges facing the industry, such as sex, the new generation of producers, as well as the relationship with the press.
The 155-page memoir is available on Amazon, and Barnes & Noble, and is a welcome addition to the literature on Nollywood.
