Former military Vice President under IBB (1986 to 1993), and one-time Chief of General Staff, Retired Admiral Augustus Aikhomu has died. He died today after a prolonged illness. He was 71 years old.
Aikhomu was a retired admiral and also served as vice-president during the Ibrahim Babangida military regime from 1986 to 1993.Unfortunately, he died on the day his former boss was celebrating his 70th birthday.
