New Music: Wande Coal ft Don Jazzy - The Kick



Award-winning singer Wande Coal of Mavin Records has delighted fans by releasing a brand new single ‘The Kick’ on 23 January 2013.

Wande Ojosipe, also known as Wande Coal, is known for his improvisational skill and unique dance moves. His inimitable vocal style and dexterity has endeared him to thousands of music lovers and fans nationwide and earned him critical and commercial success. He started gaining national attention after being featured on D’banj’sRundown/Funk You Upalbum on singles like“Loke,”“Tonosibe” and “Why Me.”
Wande became a household name with his prominent vocals on the Mo’Hits All Star’s compilation album Curriculum Vitae. His first single from the album ‘Ololufe’ was described as the greatest love song written by a Nigerian. Demand for a solo album grew and Wande duly obliged with 2008’s hugely successful Mushin 2 MoHits. The album broke several records by racing to sell over 3 million copies with 3 singles that shot straight to Number 1 on the charts.
In early May 2012, when Don Jazzy announced a new record label, Mavin Records, Wande Coal became part of the first wave of artists signed to the label including D’Prince, Dr SID and Tiwa Savage. His musical prowess was noticeable in the first singles released in the Solar Plexus album – Wande Coal has three singles featured in the Solar Plexus album, which was released in May 2012, “Forever,” “See me Ri,” and “Pretty Girls.”
The new single “The Kick”, produced by and featuring the award-winning ace producer Don Jazzy, is one of the songs in Wande Coal’s forthcoming album, and takes off from the success of his other singles.
