It was a lovely sight to behold in December when the Bonsue fuji creator, Adewale Ayuba, gave a good account of himself during his performance at the 2012 edition of the Epe Kayokayo Carnival, tagged Oba N Dabira.
Ayuba, an enterprising singer, gave the guests more than they bargained for, dishing out danceable fresh and old tunes to the admiration of the guests.
The event, held under the auspices of the Olu Epe of Epe Kingdom, Oba Shefiu Adewale, had as its chief host, Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mr. Adeyemi Ikuforiji , and Chairman, Epe Local Government, Mr. Segun Agbaje as host.
Ayuba thrilled the audience comprising residents of the Epe community, members of various clubs, chiefs and royal fathers. Also, communities in Epe such as Ijebu Epe, The Ilaje, The Urhobo, The Hausa, The Igbo, The Igala, The Akwa Ibom, The Ondo, The Ekiti and The Ghanaian were part of the celebration.
The event also witnessed cultural displays by the six wards in the area, dances and presentations of trophies to deserving groups and individuals.
As a way of asserting the popularity of the carnival, some corporate organisations threw their weight behind it.
