D’banj, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage To Join Iyanya For Two-City Concert

Following the success of his hit singles ‘Kukere’, and ‘Ur waist’, the rising pop star is now set to release his second album come February.The long anticipated LP titled ‘Iyanya Vs Desire‘ is due for release on February 24, 2012. And he’s doing it big, with a two-city concert holding at the International Conference Centre in Abuja, and the convention centre of Eko Hotels in Lagos.

We gathered that the Abuja version will feature appearances from heavyweights D’banj, Wizkid, Flavour, Tiwa Savage, M.I, Vector, May D, KCEE, Emma Nyra and others. The show will be hosted by actress Matilda Duncan and Big Mo. Nine days later, the Lagos leg will go down with performances from Iyanya and his friends.

Iyanya says he derived the title of his album from his recent departure from the R&B genre which he’s was first known for (Desire) and the new Pop style he’s adapted into his music (Iyanya). 

Iyanya released his debut album in 2009, a year after winning the first ever edition of the MTN Project Fame music talent show.
