FEW months after the former MD/CEO of GTBank, Mr.Tayo Aderinokun, passed on, the battle on who takes charge of his multi-billion naira estate has begun.
And the combatants in what promises to be a fierce battle are the deceased's wives-Funlola and Salamotu. A few of the properties said to be raising dust are two blocks of luxury flats in Parkview and Banana Island, Ikoyi. Named Rebecca's Court, each of the flats goes for a whopping $75,000 as rent.
According to those who should know, the houses were built by First Marina Properties, a subsidiary of First Marina Ltd where Salamotu holds sway as Managing Director.
There is also the old Ikoyi Hotel, which Tayo bought a few years before he died. Sources say Tayo's family members are sharply divided over who to pitch their tent with between Funlola and Salamotu, who never see eye-to-eye.
