What is it with female Nollywood stars and their penchant for getting hitched to foreign based men who are already married to someone else?
Well, the latest star to join that ‘exclusive club’ is none other than Oby Edozie who got married to Alex Okoroigwe, at the Ikoyi Registry last Friday, December 16th, 2011 in what many consider a secret ceremony.
While some speculate that the reason for the hushed nuptials is Oby’s pregnancy, inside sources from Lagos and South Africa indicate it’s really because Alex O is already married, and wanted to keep the event under wraps from his official wife.
After having a brief stint at the top of Nigeria’s music charts in the mid 90s, with ‘Celebrate’, Alex O relocated abroad, eventually settling in South Africa where he is currently the C.E.O of DigiAudioVisuals, an entertainment firm. It just so happens that he’s also the husband of Fathima Okoroigwe.
Fathima currently works as a mammographer at Milpark Radiology in Johannesburg, South Africa. The two have a daughter, Layla Oluchi Okoroigwe who was born on the 21st of August 2008 in South Africa.
Sources indicate that Alex met Fathima when he was studying Digital Film & Animation in Singapore and she was working as a radiographer at Alexander Hospital based in the mid-western part of that nation. The two got married, had babies and relocated to South Africa together in the mid part of this decade. While in South Africa, Alex started his firm, and their last child was born.
While pursuing business interests in Nigeria, and maintaining a family in South Africa, Alex got to working with Oby Edozie in producing the soundtrack to her film, ‘Save Our Souls’.
Obviously that wasn’t all he was producing as the two got together and started a relationship behind his wife’s back. A relationship that culminated with last week’s wedding.

It’s unclear how the dynamic of two families in two different parts of Africa is going to work, but here’s wishing all parties concerned an interesting married life.

Alex should be ashamed of himself...REAL MEN don't behave like that...IMAGINE WHAT HIS DAUGHTER IS GOING TO THINK ABOUT THIS WHOLE SORDID AFFAIR(excuse the pun!)when she is a teenager?
