A group from Abuja’s young and upwardly mobile crowd alongside celebrated compere Dayo Benjamin-Laniyi, also known as DBL, has packaged a special event tagged the Purple Valentine.
Already, the first part of the Purple Valentine ‘reach out and touch’ programme for the aged and the less privileged took place at the FCT Cultural Centre yesterday, Saturday 12th February.
Dozens of elderly and aged citizens resident in Abuja were hosted to an afternoon of love, fun and care featuring free drugs and medical consultation and gifts.
The celebration continues tomorrow with a cocktail session on the purple carpet. The celebrity co-hosts for the evening, Darey Art Alade and Dayo Benjamin-Laniyi, will anchor interview sessions during which they would talk love with Olu Jacobs and Joke Silva; Ace comedian Ali Baba and his wife, Mary, among others.
This will be followed by live musical performances by highly rated producer Cobhams, newcomer Bez, Jazz diva Yinka Davies and Darey.
