Chocolate City, Music Aid raise funds for Jos

Chocolate City is partnering with Music Aid, a subsidiary of The World Music Foundation (WMF) in collaboration with other music companies to raise funds for the victims of the Jos crises.

The team will put up a show, Music Aid 2011, to help raise funds for these victims. The show which has been slated for June 25, 2011 in Abuja, will feature Nigerian Idol judges Audu Maikori and Jeffrey Daniel, both members of the Music Aid team, and also Chocolate City’s rappers Ice Prince, Jesse Jagz and M.I.

According to the organizers, Music Aid aims at “using music as a means to draw attention to the ongoing crisis in Jos which has affected thousands of children and raise awareness about the delicate situation. We aim to raise funds to be channelled towards rebuilding schools, raising scholarships and providing the essential needs for many orphans who largely are victims of the Jos crises.”
