New MTV Base documentary focuses on Clarence Peters, others

A new documentary series that will highlight the strides and feats of talented young individuals from across Africa, Touching Base, will premier next Monday on MTV Base.

And for self-effacing music videos director, Clarence Peters, there is nowhere to hide as the documentary takes viewers into his private world while he talks about what makes his jobs a reference point.

The new documentary series was shot on locations in Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa. Some of the talented individuals trailblazing in endeavours like filmmaking, music, fashion and photography and whose stories have been documented include Kenyan DJ, Jahawi; Kenyan artiste, Cyrus Kabiru; Nigerian fashion designer, Bayo, among others.

“Touching Base shines a light on Africa’s new wave of creative entrepreneurs, spotlighting impressive game-changers from across the continent,” says Alex Okosi, senior vice president, MTV Base.
