The "Damage" tour hits the US

Uche Jombo, producer of the movie "The Damage", has concluded plans to take the movie on a tour across the United States of America.

The movie premiere which had earlier been in Lagos and London will now also witness new stops which include Kentucky, Houston and Philadelphia.

The month of October is generally regarded as the domestic violence month in the US and Uche hopes to spread the message against violence which she refers to as a global problem. "This will not only raise awareness to domestic violence, but would also serve as a means of raising funds which would be contributed toward the cause." she said.

The movie features Uche Jombo as lead actress, acting alongside Tonto Dikeh, Basorge Tariah Jr and Kalu Ikeagwu. According to her, the movie is the first of a collection of three movies with distinct yet interwoven stories called The Damage Movies. The second "My Life, My Damage", hopes to deal with drug abuse and HIV/AIDS while the third, "My Country, Their Damage" hopes to tackle human trafficking.
