Modupe Ozolua is famed for the body enhancement procedure in Nigeria. The very light skinned Edo State born woman sent shock waves down the spine of many when she began practising her trade here in Nigeria.
Alien to most society women, the fad soon caught up with many society ladies, who wanting to perfect their looks, constituted her clientele. The business boomed but suffered a relapse after the death of Nigeria’s former first lady, Stella Obasanjo in Spain from complications following a tummy tuck surgery.
Perhaps to cushion the economic effects of the unfortunate incident, Ozolua extended her services to include a spa in Lekki, Lagos. Tucked in a serene environment, it was only last year that Ozolua hosted a private champagne party, positioned to re-introduce its operations to the elite.
Now, close watchers insist plans are underway to get the spa a new owner as the venture has not been able to multiply the fortunes of the single mother of one.
Not the first to take such a drastic measure, many would remember that a few years ago, former Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, Nike Oshinowo-Soleye, also sold Skin Deep, a health and beauty spa she steered its affairs for seven years.
