Beautiful Nubia and the Roots Renaissance Band will be celebrating the release of their new studio album ‘Sun No Dey Sleep’ with a five-hour concert on Sunday, June 19, at Sparkle Hall, Ikeja GRA, Lagos.
The album was recorded at Femopal Studio, Lagos, mixed by Olatunde Obajeun at King’s Studio also in Lagos, and mastered by David Cain at Soundmasters Studios in Canada.
It was released for physical and digital distribution in January and has enjoyed appreciable airplay on grassroots and community radio stations across Canada and the US, and on both state-owned and private radio stations in Nigeria. The public presentation of the album will commence in Ibadan, Oyo State, on June 12 with a concert at Spider Cafe and Lounge, inside Agbowo Shopping complex.
The artist, whose real name is Segun Akinlolu, will also be performing this month at Jazzhole, Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, and at full-fledged concerts at Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Akure, and Ado-Ekiti.
