The 2011 instalment of the urban music awards ceremony, The Headies, formally known as the Hip-Hop World Awards, will be hosted by rapper cum music producer, eLDee and Nollywood star actor, Rita Dominic. In a statement issued out by Smooth Promotions, the organizers of the event, Ayo Animashaun, founder of the awards, confirmed having enlisted the two as hosts of the ceremony.
"I can exclusively tell you Rita Dominic and eLDee have signed on to host the Headies awards," Animashaun's statement reads. "We are energized by our choice of hosts and we are confident with both of them anchoring the show our audience will have fantastic moments and an amazing show. Be assured this duo brings the perfect mix of elegance and sophistication that will set the tone for an amazing show."
Although an official date and venue for the awards ceremony that is in its sixth year is yet to be made public, the founder promised an exciting show.
"Preparations are in top gear and we are once again presenting you with the biggest faces that you know to host the 6th edition of The Headies; it will be amazing," Animashaun promised.
Past hosts of the awards include D'Banj, Basketmouth, Kemi Adetiba, Dakore, and Banky W amongst others.
