Producers of the annual entertainment event, Nigerian Entertainment Awards (NEA) on Monday, June 20, 2011 announced that 2011 edition of the show will be hosted by Nigerian comedian Julius Agwu also known as D’Genius.
A press release from the producers of the awards ceremony revealed that this will be Julius’ second time hosting the show. The release also states that voting for the show will close on Saturday, August 27, 2011.
“Voting is online at our official website and runs through to August 27, 2011 after which the polls will be closed. Online voting provides international participation in the NEAs by providing fans from various parts of the world the opportunity to vote for their favorite artists, actors, producers, DJs etc. For those on the go, the NEA producers have included a mobile option that allows fans to log on and cast their votes using their mobile devices,” the release reads.
The Nigerian Entertainment Awards (NEA), annually held in the United States of America, is already in its sixth season. The awards target excellence in the various section of the Nigerian entertainment industry including mainstream music, Nigerian movies and television, radio, comedy and Nigerian fashion.
