Nigerian deejays form association
Nigerian Disc Jockeys popularly known as Deejays recently at media brief unveiled a new association called Deejays Association of Nigeria (DJAN).
According to DJ Jimmy Jatt the association’s Vice Chairman “the coming together of Deejays as we see today was as a result of sacrifices made by some respected members who threw their weight behind the evolving of this association in the last three years.
As we stand today, the association is the only umbrella of deejays in this country and it’s duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria”
The association’s chairman Mr. Lanre Falano said “ in the past, people see deejays as dropouts, miscreants and nonentities. That is why we talk about our unity so that everyone would know that Deejays are professionals too just like every other professional man and woman”
The chairman told reporters that the association had more than a hundred registered male and female members.
