Fuelling the rumour that KC Presh, winners of the inaugural edition of the Star Quest musical reality talent hunt, duo have parted ways, Kingsley Okonkwo popularly known as the KC of the group has released a solo single. Under the moniker KCee, the singer debuts his first solo single, ‘Opekete’ under a newly created imprint, Five Star Music. The song which is themed around wooing a desired beauty is infused with mild highlife and fuji elements and is delivered majorly in Pidgin English and Yoruba.
KC Presh is a duo of Kingsley Okonkwo and Precious John which came to public consciousness in 2002 after the duo emerged winner of the inaugural edition of the Nigerian Breweries sponsored Star Quest.
With five albums and many awards to its name, the duo began their journey into music performing at the same church choir; KC was the choir master while Presh was the music director.
